Molecular Diagnostics of Parasites and Drug Resistance

Our research aims to develop and apply precision molecular diagnostics to support effective, targeted and sustainable control of parasites in livestock, companion animals and humans.
Overuse of anti-parasitic drugs leads to the selection of drug-resistant parasites and causes environmental damage.
Our research team uses a variety of genetic and genomic approaches to develop molecular diagnostic tools to target treatment more precisely and to study how drug resistance arises and spreads in parasite populations.
